REGULATIONS

1.- International event under the auspices and calendar of RFEA (Spanish Track & Field Federation) and FAM (Madrid Track & Field Federation). It will be run between 24th and 25th June 2006 in the Dehesa Boyal athletics track, SAN SEBASTIÁN DE LOS REYES (Madrid, Spain).Night running event in 400m track that consists of reaching the longest distance possible within a 6-hour time limit (invitational event) or 3 hour limit (promotional event and 1st Madrid Long Distance Championship).

2.- Final distance measurement. The article 164.-4 of the IAAF rules will be applied to determine the total distance in the 6-hour event. Therefore, the total distance will be calculated as for the previous metre to last footprint of the athlete, simultaneously or inmediately before the finish signal.

Accordingly, the start referee will give a gunshot exactly one minute before the time limit. It is to warn runners and referees and in order to warn that the end of the race is about to come.

The race finish will also be signaled with a new shot.

For the rest of entrants, (that is, the 3-hour event runners), there will only be a complete-lap counting to the race finish shot.

3.- Runners that are older than 18 years are entitled to enter. They must be under their Federation license. The entry in the 6-hour event is exclusively invitational. Furthermore, a 8h30 100km or a 2h40 marathon personal bests have to be proved. There is no PB requirement for the 3-hour race. It is advisable to have a medical certificate. The organisation board will refuse any responsibility in accidents along the race.

4.- AID STATIONS. They will be provided by the organisation. Each runner will be allowed to deliver self-drinks and food one hour before race start.

5.- CONTROL. Each runner will collect his race number before the Start. It must be shown visible along the race, both in the chest and the back. No manipulation must be done, and ads will be respected. The referees can disqualify a runner because of misconduct or any of these regulations' violation.

START CONTROL ATTENDANCE. Placed in the Start/Finish point, referees will check entry list. Open from 21.40h for 6-hour event, and from 23.30h for the 3-hour event.

6.- ADS AND RUNNERS CLOTHING. It will have to be under IAAF rules.

7.- DNF. Every runner withdrawing from the race will deliver the race number to the referees at the Start/Finish point.

8.- LAP CONTROL, SCREEN. Laps will be chip-controlled, under the supervision of the RFEA jury. Attendants to the race will be able to follow the timing and positions on a large-sized screen.

9.- PRIZE LIST. All finishing runners at both races will receive a medal and certified distance diploma.

Trophy for the 7 first finishers in the invitational race.

Trophy for the first 3 male and female finishers in the 3 hour promotional event.

6.- HOUR WORLD'S BEST SPECIAL PRIZE "CHEVROLET CHALLENGE". CHEVROLET ESPAÑA and the organising board will prize the runner able to beat 6-Hour World's best (97Km.200 m) with a CHEVROLET LACETTI car or 7,000 Euro cash. This prize would substitute the initially stated winner prize (see above).

 10.- The organisers board keeps right to the interpretation of these articles, and the ability to suppress or modify new regulations.

11.- ENTRIES. No entry will be accepted in the invitational 6-hour race. It will strictly be granted via personal invitation. Entry limit is 25 runners.

The entry fee for the 3-hour race is 10 Euro, and entry limit is established in 25 runners. Entry period will be open 24th April. Entry will be paid as for bank transfer to the account number stated in the race website (www.ultrafondo.com). Every runner that runs over the 30km limit (male) or 25km limit (female) will have the entry fee returned.

MADRID INTERNET LEAGUE 2006. The 3-hour race will give bonuses for the Madrid Internet League 2006. Points will be given at the 30km lap, and not at the finish line.

ACCOMMODATION will be offered at reduced prices in local hotels. The organiser's board will give further details in advance.

RACE NUMBERS WITHDRAWAL, from 11:00h to 14:00h on race day, at the Hotel offered by the organisation. From 18:00h to 21:00h at the race secretary: Complejo Deportivo at Dehesa Boyal running track (San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid).

CHOCOLATE PARTY. The organiser's board will give free chocolate drink and cookies to entrants and attendants after 03:00h on 25th June at the running track itself.

AWARD CEREMONY. From 04:15h on 25th June, at the running track.

 RACE ANIMATION. There will be diverse music bands playing live for the event.
